Black Friday, which is the day after Thanksgiving, is considered one of the busiest shopping days of the year. There was a time when it reigned supreme as the most important day for retail, but over the last few years it has received serious competition from Cyber Monday.
However, while Black Friday still marks the official start of the holiday shopping season, it seems to be a little different for 2013. Holiday deals are already being offered by some retailers.
If you go the day after Thanksgiving, will you need to line up for hours before daybreak to buy furniture? Not really, but department stores will open early and you are also likely to find good furniture and home furnishings deals there.
